The Bf 109 played an important role in all operations in the Second World War. The prototype flew for the first time on 28.05.1935. The single-seater fighter had a DB 605 engine with a maximum of 1,435 hp, top speed 594 km/h at an altitude of 7,400 m. The total production number was about 35,000 pieces.
